The patrol walkway has recently been reopened after renovation and embraces the fourteenth-century part of Palazzo Vecchio: participants are taken through an evocative route which uniquely includes a series of “stops” where one may pause and listen to a series of musical structures, extremely brief but surprising for their content and for their spatial deployment.
This is therefore a cycle of new compositions for solo instruments, written specifically by young composers of the Florentine school, where taste for the new intersects with the tradition of medieval music.
