Sound and Vision Artificial Organisms
“Natural.Machines” is an experimental audio/video performance for networked computers, comparable to artificial living organisms.
Autonomously and with no human intervention, these machines can produce sounds and images, control them, and have them evolve over time according to the paradigm of evolutionary computing.
This work is the result of a study still currently being performed on evolutionary systems applied to music, initiated at the Creative Coding course held by Mario Guida at Tempo Reale Musical Research, Production, and Teaching Centre in Florence.
