    From 16th to 29th June Tempo Reale will be in residence in Singapore at Temenggong to develop a collaborative project with the group of the Nanyin Siong Leng tradition. In late August-early September the project will be presented at the Oriente/Occidente Festival in Rovereto.

    How can two musical expressions as different as the Eastern Nanyin tradition and Western electroacoustic improvisation engage in dialogue? This is the challenge of the project, which involves the significant entities of Singapore Siong Leng and the musical research center Tempo Reale in Florence, bridging two different cultures through sound. Through a dialogue that starts from musical instruments (in fact, ancient Chinese instruments are compared with analog and digital electroacoustic devices of contemporary Euro-American origin), a performance is therefore born, structured in acts, where listening and playing together come to life through different interaction modes, in a path of absolute original emotional
