A project developed within STRINGS CITY 2018
To explore spaces through music is one of the main goals of Tempo Reale, always operating in non-conventional locations, conceiving and producing specific sound actions. The cooperation with Strings City (here placing the electric guitar as a central element, for the first time) moves in this direction, breathing life into a new version of the composition “In a large open space” by pioneering American composer James Tenney. This work, defined by its continuous flux of stratified sounds, is arranged for an ensemble of twelve electric instruments variously positioned in space, allowing spectators an enjoyment of the continuously changing sonic mass that is free and in motion.
Limitated entry with reservation.
Special thanks to Opera di Santa Croce for their hospitality.
