IN A LARGE OPEN SPACE (TREE)
Tempo Reale Electroacoustic Ensemble (at least 12 musicians)
Music by James Tenney
Exploring spaces through music: this is one of the main objectives of Tempo Reale, always having operated in unconventional locations, conceiving and producing specific sound actions. This is precisely the direction taken by a production which integrates electric guitars and synthesizers, giving life to a new version of the composition “In a large open space”, by US composer and pioneer James Tenney. The work, characterised by a continuous flux of sound layers, is orchestrated for an ensemble of twelve electric instruments positioned within a large open space, allowing audiences to enjoy a constantly changing sound mass that is free and in motion.
