#HOMEPLAYING | Remote musical socialization platform
Tempo Reale within the COVID-19 emergency, has started the #HOMEPLAYING project that allows distant musicians to perform together, strictly in a live setting and from the comfort of their homes, actively bridging their physical distance. The project fits into the current historical moment, in which it is important to unite people through music using fully original and instant content (the platform has no intention of being technologically innovative or revolutionary from a media standpoint), as well as being an homage to the first ever musical telecommunication experience, conducted in 1970 by computer music pioneer Pietro Grossi, between Rimini and Pisa, the 50th anniversary of which is in 2020.
Progetto Meteo, Sistema di improvvisazione per gruppi di musicisti online (Weather project, improvisation system for groups of online musicians)
Specifically envisioned by Francesco Giomi, this project is based on the synoptic weather map for the day of the improvisation, or the one closest in time to the moment of the performance. Each musician arbitrarily chooses which map parameters to follow, using the two classic families (Isothermal areas – colours; Isobar – continuous black lines) and following a small system of rules.
Production: Tempo Reale
With contributions from: Agnese Banti, Francesco Canavese, Simone Faraci, Francesco Giomi, Andrea Gozzi (coord.), Giovanni Magaglio, Damiano Meacci, Leonardo Rubboli
An initiative within the Aundici project, in collaboration with Ambient-Noise Session, Biodiversità Records, Fango Radio, NUB Project Space, Oltrarno Recordings, and PHASE.
