CHRIS PITSIOKOS & TEMPO REALE
Chris Pitsiokos is an upcoming saxophone player from the New York improvisational scene, always balancing between meticulous timbral research and the expressive energy of “fire music”. In this project, Pitsiokos comes in contact with electronics, both as a means of self-expression and as a dialogue relationship with the digital instruments of Tempo Reale, here represented by the performer Francesco Canavese, who has previously collaborated with great musicians such as Uri Caine, Jim Black, and David Moss. The result is an unpredictable and engaging performance, where the electronics do not play a secondary role, but instead act as a structural element that can guide the improvisation, constantly renewing it.
