Bardo Todol is a Tibetan expression which may be translated as “supreme liberation through listening”: a ceremony which joins live electronics with drone music, multiplicity of timbres with rhythmic obsession, in a continuous exchange between digital interactivity and analogical thought. THE GEYSER. Sound installation
    Francesco Giomi

The geyser is one of the most surprising and impressive natural phenomena: its powerful characteristics and the regularity of its emissions are striking and absorbing. In particular, the Icelandic geyser Strokkur has greatly inspired this sound-art installation. The geyser becomes a natural model for an abstract work with a strong electroacoustic disposition (it employs at least six loudspeakers), inspiring thoughts on the concepts of “wait” and “surprise”: after how long will we hear the sound emission? Of what will it be made?
