Monday, September 23rd, 21.00 hrs – Le Murate. Progetti Arte Contemporanea (Free admission)
Lammerica
With Giorgia Calandrini e Dafne Tinti
Original music by Giovanni Magaglio (Tempo Reale)
Director and artistic supervisor Riccardo Rombi (Catalyst)
Lammerica is the title of the mise en espace inspired by the private diaries of Chiara Calda and Teresa Luongo, two twentieth-century women who lived through the times of Italian migration. The show, the result of research and artistic experimentation, tells of the two intense journeys of two common women, one towards America and the other towards Italy, using a unique scenic and sonic elaboration of the pages of the two women’s own handwritten texts. The diaries are provided by the Archivio Diaristico Nazionale (National Diary Archive) of Pieve Santo Stefano.
Lammerica is the show put together at the Atelier 2019 of Intemporanea, the event series conceived and directed by Pinangelo Marino within Estate Fiorentina. The Atelier is produced in collaboration with Le Murate. Progetti Arte Contemporanea, Catalyst, and Tempo Reale.
