The archival collection presents itself as a conglomeration of materials acquired and produced by Tempo Reale in the twenty-five years following its foundation, up to the present day. The present condition of the archive corresponds to the organizational criteria that were defined at the end of the 90s in order to classify both historical and current material. The collection contains materials related to the centre’s musical production and documents regarding Tempo Reale’s activities (preparatory sound material, computer realization materials, audio/video recordings, posters, librettos, letters and documents).
In parallel, the archive presents a section of “scores” containing works by twentieth century composers and a “documentation” section featuring other musical and technical materials pertaining the interpretation of electronic compositions penned by some of the most important historical composers and by other young talents.
The collection is ever-growing by nature and is constantly updated. The production or acquisition of new materials requires the continuous integration of its content.
