An event within the 86th Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Festival
Maggio Elettrico returns: a double window on what is new and on the frontiers of electroacoustics. Two extremely different concerts that originate from the research of the talented French guitarist and composer Desprez, who for the first time is bringing to Italy his latest performance, dedicated to the relationship between the action of guitar and body and the spectacular effect of electric current. A collaboration with Ensemble Suono Giallo is what originated the second concert which on the one hand pays homage to the great double bass player Stefano Scodanibbio with a new and surprising improvisational score, and on the other introduces the works of two of the most significant young Italian composers of the moment. All this in a new location for Tempo Reale and for the city of Florence, adapted for this occasion also thanks to electroacoustic techniques.
