The English term glitch is believed to derive from the German word glitschen (to slide) and from the Yiddish word gletschn (to slip, to skate). In electronic music, the word glitch is applied to indicate a brief, sudden, and non-periodic peak in a soundwave, caused by an unexpected error. By extension, it is also used to indicate a brief system error in various practical fields of audio-visual culture. Inspired by the limitations of digital networks, but also by the pioneering ideas of the neo-avantgarde, Tempo Reale is organising an extended sound party: about forty musicians-improvisers (both in person and streaming from Canada and Bologna) will be able to participate as they prefer, and the same goes for the public, who may enter and exit without pre-determined rules or mechanisms.

Admission €5, open access throughout the three hours
