FABRONI SOUND GARDEN #5. Sound landscapes for Palazzo Fabroni’s curated garden

Specifically conceived for the “Giardino d’autore” garden of Palazzo Fabroni, the FABRONI SOUND GARDEN project offers three highly distinct “sound actions”, designed to connect both with the physical space and with the artistic meaning it embodies. The distinctive feature of this fifth edition is, on one side, the relationship with a major classic repertoire piece and, on the other, the interplay between electronic music and dance. The program is rounded out by the presence of an extraordinary British composer, capable of transporting the listener to an artificial sonic universe constructed with everyday materials.

TEMPO REALE ELECTROACOUSTIC ENSEMBLE | Terry Riley In C
One of Tempo Reale’s great signature pieces, reinterpreted in an electroacoustic style and specifically adapted for the garden space. For what is maybe the first time in Pistoia, Riley’s “In C” once again immerses the listener into a playful and stimulating sonic world.

Acousmatic works
Pistoia is hosting the award-winning English composer Manuella Blackburn, a lasting presence in the field of acousmatic music. Her artistic approach explores the transformation of everyday sound through editing and synthesis techniques, creating a dialogue between solid timbral materials and abstract formal structures.
