The Klang series is opened by a different and original approach to musical computer science: Giorgio Sancristoforo is conducting a group of students, and then the audience itself, within his graphical score, which is read using software conceived by the composer following a path of research which sketches new directions for assisted composition. In a climactic moment, an extremely active pioneer from Poland brings his contribution to the recognition of one of the most significant experiences in the avantgarde: the relationship between sound and brain signals. On the other hand, Zumtrio is a brand new project divided between structure and improvisation. An intensely “electric” nature, open to different manners and languages of interaction, an expressive multiplicity with very few borders: these are the fundamental elements of an experience which explores a free and pleasant idea of hospitality. The music is deeply rooted in electronic avantgarde research as well as in experimental jazz, capturing unexpected and surprising electro-acoustic soundscapes.
