Introduction to sound engineering for prison inmates
Tempo Reale is making its expertise in sound engineering available to inmates of Sollicciano Prison by promoting its first sound engineer course, in collaboration with the educational offices of the prison complex.
The course is designed to introduce students to a basic knowledge of audio technology applied to live shows, with special attention to new technological devices, including digital ones. The objective is to supply practical and theoretical foundations for an eventual re-integration in the related work environment, thus supporting the prison institute’s tasks of re-education and of social and work re-integration.
The course has a more practical than theoretical configuration and will be held at the Cinema/Theatre Hall of Sollicciano Prison so as to make use of the audio devices already available on the spot, integrated with instrumentation provided by Tempo Reale. This will facilitate the use of the acquired capacities during further recreational and entertainment activities planned by the prison.
