COME AND IMPROVISE WITH US! On Saturday 6th September, Tempo Reale is organising a performance of the Fluxus score “Improvvisazione libera” by Giuseppe Chiari, intended for 70 improvisers, within the fourth edition of “Fabroni Sound Garden, sound landscapes for the artist’s garden of Palazzo Fabroni” (Pistoia), canceled in 2024 due to weather conditions.
The verbal score of the work (https://shorturl.at/D6F1i) offers simple suggestions and performance methods, which may all be interpreted with great freedom, irony, and simplicity.
ALL are invited to participate, possibly with portable musical instruments, sound objects, voice, and any other instrument you may deem appropriate, to be used in the spirit suggested by Giuseppe Chiari. The spirit of initiative is that of participation, so no specific skills are required; what is instead needed is a sensitivity to listening, to free improvisation, to the desire to be together.
The 70 performers will move within the spaces of the museum’s garden. Participation with large instruments is excluded, but a certain number of small guitar amplifiers will also be made available to performers for use in rotation, if necessary. Please feel free to extend this invitation/form to other musicians.
Please join this initiative by signalling your presence by filling out this short form by July 15, 2025.
Participation is free. The time of execution will be defined soon
This initiative is a collaboration with Museo del Novecento e del Contemporaneo di Palazzo Fabroni, Nub Project Space, and Fango Radio.
